Very neat -- Unique Chessboard Design!

Thought this was neat, this man in montana designed a new chessboard using sparkplugs for pieces and a very neat design for the board =)  Hopefully this gains some attn on chess to the kids in montana!  heres a link to what he did

Pure crap.  Who was the guy? Staunton?  Got it right.  Actually, I met a tool and die maker who crafted an elegant set out of high quality polyeurathene (sp) in the 1970's when I played my first master....  He had a leather board and the pieces were immaculate.  SPARK PLUGS?  You have to be kidding.

Obviously not all chess sets are meant to be played with; some are mostly just for display (how else to explain all the goofy theme sets on Ebay).  As a display set/curiosity, it seems fine to me; although admittedly I would never buy it.
