Video games screw ups my chess

Thing is, when you spend a day doing something else, your brain becomes attuned to that activity and shifts away from chess. Then, when you try to get back to chess, your brain refuses to work the proper way. The solution is: don't jump to rated games right away, do some tactics or watch some Youtube chess video - then, when your mind is set right, go back to playing chess.
Ive noticed that when i take a day to relax after a nice win streak and just spend a day gaming, i get absolutely killed in chess. I had won 11 in a row to get 1880 (mind you im 1900 on some sites), then i took the day off and decided to do some gaming a bit, then i come on today and lose 18 of 20 games. I dont think ive done any worse at any point in my entire life.
