I know what you mean. There are a lot of videos on the internet but Telemachus Wolf likes to go through some of the old classics. I stumbled on him when I did a search on Nimzowitch's My System and it has helped me some. The way I use the video is I read the chapter, run through the games a couple f times and then listen to the video... kinda like listening to a class lecture. I have not gotten through much of the video so I cannot say how good is the series but the lecture re-enforces the reading. He has several play lists with some classic books -- and alot more.
And if you have not checked it out the St. Louis Chess Club has scores of videos with some of the top rated players in the world. Yasser Seirawan makes regular appearances and references his own books from time to time.
There is a ton out there on YouTube. Have fun exploring!
Hey, have you found any videos of annotated games, say similar to "The most instructive games of chess ever played" by Irving Chernev or "Understanding Chess Move by Move" by John Nunn?
I have these books, but sometimes is easier to follow in a video you can fast forward, pause while you play variations on a chess app.
