how often does that happen?
vote chess

It happens more often than you'd think. Especially in the smaller groups (the larger the group, the more likely someone won't even be voting). If the game is set to 7 days per move, and everybody agrees that we're playing the Ruy Lopez, it still takes over a month to get there. I think this is more of an issue in the opening than the middle or end game, but even then you can have a mate in # worked out, everybody agrees to the plan, and even tho everyone's voting, it takes forever to get there. And we all know that there are times in which there really is only one option.
The down side to this is that you now never know when your opponent is going to move, and when your clock will start ticking. If you know that the votes are counted at 7pm every night, then you can make a schedule. You sign on at 7pm, and see what move your opponent makes. You post in the Team Comments which move you think is the best one, and log out. Just before bed and/or right after you wake up, you check the comments to see if anyone has suggested a better line, or needs to be alerted to their miscalculation. And then after work, you come home at 6pm and check the final comments before casting your vote.
And of course nobody's life is this perfectly structured, but you get the idea. Just like every other element of playing styles here at Chess.com, you're going to have people on both sides of this argument. For that reason, I think that if you are going to add this new feature, that it be an optional one. It will just be one more box to check or uncheck when setting the game up. But it is definitely an option I would use.

Just a idea, would it be a good idea if in vote chess, your team all votes before the time limit is up,our move could be done then instead off waiting for the time limit?
If done then it may be a problem of to many stupid votes been counted and move is made.
I think he was referring to when the whole team has already voted (100% of the votes are in). If there's no one left to vote, why wait.
In the case of a blunder here, you would need to go to the other members in the group, and urge them to join the Vote Game to cast more ballots against the blunder (which I have seen a number of groups do in certain situations). So you could have a very good point there.

No, we need the regular intervals so that everyone knows how much time they have to get their vote in, and also when it will be their turn again.

The only problem I see that would be hard to fix is the first person joining, wants to make a move they like, then the move is made before anyone else joins. This could lead to a difficult position later on, basically a Team Match for the first few moves at times.

I like it the way it is. Perhaps it could be an option for some teams to play that style. I wouldn't be all that interested though.

What if they added an 'end vote' button only usable by the leader of the group? That would let a group end the voting whenever everyone had come to a conclusion.
I think I'd still be in favor of the full time being used, however. Otherwise, it makes the schedule of the game become unpredictable for the other team.
Can you make thematic vote games? You could even negotiate an opening with the other team, if you really wanted to hasten the beginning of the game.
