So I've been studying on Chess.com and reading Logical Chess Move by Move and I just can't get the hang of this game at all. I "understand" that concepts going thru the moves and tactics and what not but when I get into a game I always fall for some stupid trap or can never develop my pieces properly. Its getting so stinking frustrating, like the last guy I played tried the 4 move check mate on me and I "know" how to defend it but ended up allowing him to take other material and its just super frustrating and makes me feel like the hours I've spent studying are pointless if I can't even win a game against a 800 rated player.... evil.png

So how were you supposed to defend 2 Qh5? You obviously didn't "know" it. Did you look it up? Hopefully you can learn from your mistakes.

Don't get frustrated. You've just begun. You've only been a member for a month and have played just 10 games in total. You have done only 118 tactics and 67 Mentor lessons. And you've looked at "Logical Chess" a little.

You aren't allowed to complain about frustration yet. Keep trying and take another look after a few thousand games, lessons and tactics and then if you've made no progress, you can think about quitting.

Meanwhile, quit yer bellyaching and get to work!
