Maybe HHH had it backwards!

Despite the fact that my chess club meets in a bar, I think the OP is off, due to the sampling error of Prof. Sergei whatizname doing his research in Russia. Gorbachev's anti-alcoholism campaign probably had more to do with the fall of the USSR than Reagan's military buildup.

If this guy starts to tell us he is rich and beats down homeless guys laying in the gutter ...then its Haywood.

Best place to play chess is in a pub.

Folks, women, and kiddies, I'm grateful for your kind thoughts and comments. Let's work together and toss away booze and chess and let's form a Congress of Light. People on the move, people who are positive who want more out of this journey. I recently lost ninety-five pounds and am now 5'9, and down to 330. I'm a new man!

I shall leave you some words of inspiration -

Grieve not for me

who am about to start

a new adventure

Eager I stand and ready to depart

Me and my reckless pioneering heart

Tossing away booze and chess would be getting rid of two of the three best things life has to offer.

Haywood, the sickness and obesity themes are getting a little stale. Please come up with some fresh material. Check out this article  and the others at that site if you need some inspiration.

Oh, that's a spectacular assertion! Bravo! Top marks!!! Love it. My crack addicted grandmother also taught me the fundamentals of electron valency balancing and the periodic table, while my kleptomaniacal arsonist grandfather taught me how to compute the dymanics of the Bohr model of the atom (which was an admirable model for the day, though later repudiated). But wait! Clifford Olsen taught me ballet, too!

Stick to ballet, and forget the test tubes.

For me, a donut shop; especially on a rainy or snowy day.

Maybe. Or maybe he is one of these. I'd go with either #1 or #4:

"We meet four types of people in life,
And we must know how to deal with them:

Follow them who know, and know that they know.
Wake them who know, and know not that they know.
Guide them who know not, and know that they know not.
Shun them who know not, and know not that they know not."

 But which one are you?

I am tempted to say I am #2, it seems to fit. However, if I know I am really #2, then this should mean I am really #1 since I would by then know that I know.

Unless, of course, I am wrong and I dont know. This would make me a #4, since I dont know but by the above reasoning clearly think I do.

However, having followed this chain of logic, I now have to conclude I am #3.
