Was this guy cheating???

I'm pretty sure he was cheating but haven't reported him yet. He was a barely 600 rated player in both blitz and bullet and was playin against me in a tournament. i was really happy by my winning streak of 3 over 1100+ rated players and then i got paired with this guy. He won all games in tournament btw with 5-0. When i played with him he was playing really fast. He started with Queens gambit and played perfectly (which is quite weird for someone of that rating ) and to look cool i played budapest. And i ended up losing him. He stopped all of my checlmate threats without even thinking for a few seconds. And i resigned cuz once i lose that pawn , i knew things were gonna be wrong... here is that game (he won tournament, i was 5th)

see ? he is on top. he defeated all 1200 rated players with ease... how is it possible??? is he on some kind of pills or weed ???

sometimes lady luck also plays chess and unfortunately she picks sides but on the other hand how did you join a tournament??! because on my phone the chess.com app doesn't show me any tournaments when I go to the tournaments option

But anyway, the game looks completely normal to me. Inaccuracies (not big blunders, but inaccuracies) from beginning to end. You say he played the opening perfectly, but move 3 is already silly.

Also we can see the time stamps when you load the game from your archive. Typically cheaters move at a steady pace, or if the program is automatic, then at an exact pace (down to the 10th of a second). The time stamps also look normal though.

One of his 1100 rated opponents took 3:30 on the very first move.  I'm sure that helped

Thats not cute at all... he was the reason why i wasn't in top 3...

I don't know if you're joking, sorry  but to answer your question the Sicilian is well known, and no, I don't think he was cheating.

At worst maybe he had a friend play for him who was something like 1200 strength (?)

 maybe he's not cheating, possibly an average player playing on a dummy account 

Well, engine are rated over 3000, so a cheater isn't going to be rated so low unless... they're really bad at it

Also you survived to an endgame... an engine would very likely be ahead many pieces by move 20, and checkmate you before move 30 every single game.

It is a new account, but he's already played >300 games and his stats look normal (no sudden jump or decline in rating).

Again, at worst it looks like he had a friend play for him who was only slightly better.

What's much more likely is he just had a lucky run of games.

    Ya know what else is cute?........."playing on a dummy account".   What a coincidence  GodsofHell is a dummy account.......he use to be "sammy_boi"......and yes, he was accoused of cheating.  No wonder he's attracted to threads like this.

I think his play looked pretty normal. Not great, but not bad either. And yours looks pretty  normal too. What I dont understand is how you can play at a somewhat average level and still have every single one of your ratings in triple digits. 

That makes a lot of sense...I wasn't checkmated. When i saw his rating i thought he'll hang tooo many pieces or at least fall for my silly traps which sadly didn't happen :'( 

Accused of cheating by people like you, and the OP, who clearly know nothing about it

Feel free to send tickets to staff, or ask other players to look at my games (clearly you can't tell what is cheating on your own!)

3 digit rating people are surprising like that... they actually know more than we tend to give them credit for

(But to be fair, I don't really understand it either, I guess it comes down to how often a person hangs pieces, or sacrifices them on purpose?)

RJC, I've known you so long, you're a good guy... but you've got the wrong impression about me. I post all over the forums... and Jamie has a nasty side... you should read OD more often if you want to discover it (although I don't actually recommend it).
