watch chess and ratings based on timing

I went on "watch" on the chess.com app. And I noticed that there is alot of players over 2000 playing 1min 3min and 5 min bullet or fast blitz. Yet for longer time controls 15|10 or 30 min It is difficult to find anyone over 1800. Also when you watch these 3 min games of people rated 2000+ they often end on time and are nit so interesting.. ( my humble opinion) so my question is, are these 2000 + bullet ratings rated games not representative of real 2000 level playing..? or are there just many more people playing bullet and thats why I can never find a 2000 level standard 5|5 or 10min game on "watch" ?

Most really good players play their long games at tournaments, and play online for fun or as opening review / experimentation. Certainly the ease of cheating in longer time controls makes those games less popular... but also blitz is a lot of fun.

Bullet games can get silly, not really worth watching in my opinion. Blitz games can be pretty good though. Especially something like two GMs playing a 5 minute game it's possible for them to produce a game of higher quality than two 2000 players playing a 1 hour game tongue.png
