'playing like a dinosaur' means playing really strongly.
'playing like pokemon' means playing very weakly.

I think he means a position which has a strength and a weakness.
You're going too much into type advantages and disadvantages.
If I played like a Sableye or something I would potentially have no weaknesses on board. And that would be awesome.
If it isn't just me, then many people have some weak points.
For me, they are .. playing against the evans gambit and against the marshall attack. i play like pokemon against these openings.
Are there openings where you have a weak spot?
