Now I suppose someone will have to create a Chess Penguins group. The two groups are destined to be locked in mortal combat for all eternity. Wait...wrong site, sorry. The weasel-penguin war is somewhere else on the web. But it's spreading, apparently.
Weasels wanted!

cry havoc and let slip the weasels/penguins of war?
Seriously enough => We are recruiting for a niche group of players who seem to understand the difference between playing vs. a human and playing vs. a computer. The Weasel element represents how sneaky play can sometimes outwit a much stronger opponent who was crushing you a few moves earlier.
Even taking Steinitz's laws into consideration, sure there is a best move for every position ... but the Weasels specialize in taking you into positions where it is difficult to find the best move.
That is ... the Weasel way.
Once again ... all ratings welcome! Ask for an invite ... and send me a link to a game proving your weasel skills to qualify :)
We're currently starting an "Improvement Quad" where the winners of each game annotate their win and share it on the group forum with the rest of the group for a critique. This helps other players weigh in on the moves and identify mistakes better.
For those who are just getting started, this is equivalent to getting free analysis of your games by a non-machine/stronger players.
Join in if you are interested! (and have a sample game to show us that you are qualified (see thread above) )
We're NOT just another parking spot group that pretty much just sits there ... the Weasels really want to build a team where we mutually reinforce our wood-pushing (and weasel-ing) skills ... and we're looking for a few players (Any rating is welcome, as long as you have the will to fight!)
S.
Chess Weasels is a group dedicated to honoring players who seem to play their best chess when they are hopelessly lost or down material.
Members are welcome to share/gloat about their outrageous victory-from-the-jaws-of-defeat games, learn from good examples of technique and how to make their opponent work really hard at closing out a won game ... assuming we don't weasel it away from them :)
All ratings welcome! Ask for an invite ... and send me a link to a game proving your weasel skills to qualify :)
