I have been noticing many players having some weird icons next to their names. When I hovered over those icons, they said: "Show your Flair". What is this new feature?? Can anybody explain plz?

it's a new thing where you can press on the symbol that describes your membership and you can change it

Depending on your membership type you may have the option of going to your profile and changing the icon.

Oh so whoever has an icon next to their name, it means they have a membership? I don't sign up for any membership type, so to me, it feels weird.

It is a new option for premium members to customize their profile.

Hey, Before you guys explain, I thought if somebody has a "flair" thing, they are cheating and should be banned. But I realized that they are not cheating so that surprised me at first happy.png

I don't think you can remove that. A paying member uses that to change their flair.

That black box will only appear for you though. Others won't be able to see it next to your username.

how in the world did you even find this

Office Space was a good movie.  When her boss harangued the waitress to show more flair, she got fed up with the foolish idea and quit.  Now chess.com uses the foolish idea.  Figures.

Yes. According to a member, this is to make the members of this site to be able to pretend that they are teenagers who are using emojis to communicate.

There are a few flairs that basic members can use

The thing is, no-one else can see the 'nothing' flair

If you have no flair that you wanna use, there's no icon
