I see a lot of people that have 30000 bullet games and are decently ranked in rapid. Why is this?

Where do you see these players? We used to be able to identify players who had played a lot of games but we haven't been able to do it since they updated the site about 6 years ago.

I have a friend on Chess.com who has 45000 bullet games. Some people only play bullet and are incredibly good. Does playing bullet actually benefit your chess game?

Well, that's one. Do you know more than one such player?

#1 maybe they used to play rapid and then started playing bullet or maybe they played speed chess to grow and just played a few rapid games here and there to catch up to their bullet and blitz strenght

No there's no benefit. Bullet is not chess.

They're not good at rapid because they're good at bullet. They're good at bullet because they're good at rapid.

Does playing bullet make you worse at rapid?

They didn't become strong by playing bullet.
