What do you do?

So I have had a good rating that got seriously knocked down by 100 points the past week.  To put it mildly, I have had a difficult time concentrating with the games, been through a tough time and feel slightly cranky.

Thus, what do other chess players do to relax, put their mind at rest and forget the minor inconveniences of life?  Just curious what other chess.com members do to bounce back at chess and improve their once good rating back again.

Sometimes i take a break from chess altogther. Sometimes i listen to christian music it seems to have a soulful tone to it and since ima christian makes lots of sense hahaha . I often go for a walk to relax and then come back when im feeling better....Cool

i find that when I get large rating draops its either because I'm playing too many games at once or because I look at the rating of the person that I'm playing and underestimate their abilities!  I try and refocus whenever I'm in a slump and dedicate myself to winning!

I play guitar and think of everything but chess! I read books if my mind still

drifts to dumb moves i made and cost me a win. I go to bed and sleep and say

"You win same,You lose same, in that way you will learn"

That helps!Oh sometimes I give chess a day or two off! That truly helps :)

Analyze your games, and see if you just suffered because of Chess Blindess (overlooking moves) or if they just outplayed you. Then afterwards, read a book with some soft music in the background.

Some nice advice here.  I have taken a break and play less.  Luckily, I have been able to improve my rating slightly.  Thanks for the advice again.

I self medicate with a few beers if I'm not playing well.  If I'm really struggling I'll make an appointment with my phsycologist.  If I start to slip into a deep depression, my chess is crap, my girlfriend is in "crazy mode" and I'm out of said alcahol beverage,  I'll hop on the motorcycle and ride as fast and as far as I can.  That seems to help.  Or I just watch re-runs of Seinfeld.
