What does this book have to do with wondering about losing my queen in the early game?

Anyway, I have already resigned the game.

I think he's saying I having a "Cop Soul" for pointing out the policy on advice on ongoing games.

call it a learning curve. we all have made mistakes. so dont resign keep fighting to the end.if you force a draw or even win the satisfacton you will get is unbelievable.  i try to teach my work mates and when they make silly moves. it put down to one of those things and play to the end. no chess game is won until check mate is achieved.good luck and soilder. david

Is resigning being a quitter? Or is resigning seeing the handwriting on the wall, and moving on?

I'd like your thoughts, please.

I agree about One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.  It's one of the few movies that is nearly as good as the book.  In my mind, though, Kesey's best work was "Sometimes A Great Notion."  I never did see the movie they made out of that one, though.

How old are you TheGrobe?  I thought you were some punk kid.  Apparently not.

"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (the movie) came out the same year I was born.

Whether that still counts as a "punk kid" or not probably depends on your perspective.

Great year to be born.  Lots of great minds born in that year.

Resign immediately. Being up a queen for free is always winning, and even being up a queen for a minor piece or rook is always winning.

never resign, however,
expect a loss and do not be too disappointed if u lose
almost impossible for a person above 1200 blitz or rapid to lose up a queen

Losing a queen for free or even a minor piece is always losing and should be immediately resignable, unless you are playing someone who is rated like 200.
