In 7 years the underlying code libraries will likely change. That said, if someone gets hired as a developer, they will be part of a team where they'll have assigned projects, enhancements, and bug fixes for their area. They don't just get to choose what to work on

Martin as a support is it like that or you only just work on tickets and handle those also is there a seprate application you need to do after you are staff to become part of anti abuse or fair play team?
sure, sure! Agile Scrum is your taskmaster! :). I'm just making the point with a bit of humor that if the goal is to have fun AND make lots of money, software DevOps gives you much better odds than the super-GM track!
