what do you like to say at the start of a match?

I've seen "Prettige partij" (which I believe in Dutch is have a good game).
Anything else?

(for what you said, not what I say at the start of a match)

I always try to at least give a "Good luck and have fun" message, but very rarely every receive a response.  

I always try to say either "welcome" "I'm looking forward to this game" or "good luck."

never let your opponent distract you with a friendly chat. next thing you know theyll try to convince you to draw when youre up.

I usually say "I accept your resignation" I either get a laugh or they just awkwardly stare. Bottom line is I get in their head, lol

OTB, of course, I rarely chat online while playing, it's redundant.

I usually say, "let's have fun!". I don't want my opponent to have good luck, so I don't wish them good luck. I do want us both to have fun. 

If someone wishes me good luck, I thank them.

I wish you a good fortune in the wars to come 

I say stuff like ' I beat dogs with people like you' or ' you are the reason I carry a knife, don't try any funny crap with me' or when a guy tries to shake hands and say some stupid thing like ' have fun' I say ' what did you call me!? What did you call me!? ' and then spit at his hand.

Start of a match:  Good luck to all.

Start of a game:  Have fun.

Good Luck!  If I my opponent lives in another country than me and I've visited it, I say so.  Today I begin two games against a Canadian and will point out I completed my graduate school education in Chemistry at the University of Toronto.

Usually just a "Good luck!" or "Play well!".

online chess depends on the team im playing v , ie if its a viking team i might say their horns are bent and offer to straighten them out,
