For the original OP...
I think that rating is only Relative to your goals and to your dedication to the game.
Some may say 1300 is a good rating for rapid
Some may say 1500 is a good rating for rapid
Some may say 1700+ is a good rating or
Some may say 2000+ is a good rating
The point is "good" is only relative to what you think good is, some people may not have the same dedication, time or energy to play chess and some people consider it a hobby and some consider it as a career, so it depends on your goals.
Try not to let people bend them to much as the goal of the game is yes to be competitive and to improve but also to have fun. But "good" is something that is not concrete so it is only dependant on you.
I will only respect players with a rapid rating of at least 1077.
