The same thing as when an unstoppable force meets an unmovable object.
What do you think would be the result of a perfect game?

A perfect game should be a draw. Chess is a draw until someone makes a mistake. It could be a really small mistake.

I think there is a small change that it will be a win for white. I think it will be a very long game since blacks moves in a perfect play will always be the strongest.
remember the books about mate in 234 moves.

perfect game is one that is shared enjoyably by participants win or lose if fun and experience is gained then what more can u ask for :) Resulting in a smile + knowlege + another game .......

Yeah right.........

Me thinks that people all over the world play this game only under the assumption that perfect play = draw.
Otherwise the game would lose its credibility as a fair mind contest and people would stop playing it.

I agree to some extent.but people will always play chess even if a computer solves all moves possible.
if it should find a winning line. where black has no drawing changes at all. I think only an autistic person like Rayman would be able to memorize the line.
if black makes one deviation from the strongest line white still has to prove that white is winning.

one rule should be changed OTB if black was losing in perfect play.
a player always has to meet a player with black & white. so a 7 round tournament will become a 14 round.
this rule would ensure contest minded to play on.

White's starting advantage is only +0.20 or something like that. Maybe not enough for a win if both sides play perfectly, but if with each move, due to white having an extra tempo, his advantage increased by +0.01, or some such number, due to the peculiarities of the game, then white would eventually win.
However, I think that it is far more likely that it would be a draw. Looking at recent master games, and computer vs computer games also suggests this.
a win for white, duh??
