Glicko RD represents how approximate (high numbers) or how accurate (low numbers) your published rating is. The more games you play, the more accurate your rating will be and the smaller your RD will become. The more time that goes by without playing a rated game, the more approximate your rating will be (because you might be getting better or worse, without your rating reflecting that) and the larger your RD will grow.
You can think of your RD as the "plus or minus" part of an approximate rating.
