What does the "v" mean in chess analysis? I analyzed for both sides.

My guess is the evaluation for the variation given by the computer versus the moves played in the game. The evaluation before the v would be the evaluation on the computer line and the after the v would be the evaluation of the game position.

that's an interesting guess...I'll need to check that somehow. Anyone else?

alright I think the general consensus is that it's the difference in evaluation between the engine and the move played. Thanks :)
