u would be on the same league tier
and you would join one that is nearly full and continue as normal
if you had made some points in the league before the problem that would be lost unfortunately but its better than nothing

Staff are working on a process to identify the impacted divisions and handle them. However, if you're not in a place to promote, leaving leagues, rejoining, and playing a game should place you in a new division.

Ya. I just did that experiment and I am in though I am not interested about this league.
It took 30 minutes to reach 3rd position.

We should really all be just glad and grateful that we can sit and chill playing chess whatever league, right now some people don't have that luxury.

Same here in legend league, i don't understand what I'm supposed to do
