What features are needed in chess apps to encourage more people to play chess on their phones?

I've noticed a general trend where not a lot of people prefer playing chess on their cell phones. What do you think is the main reason? What prevents you from playing chess regularly on your phone? What features would encourage more people to play chess on their phone?

How and where do you notice this? In school? At the tea room?  Have you done a survey? Perhaps hired a research firm?

You just joined chess.com today and this is your first question, before you even play any games?

Why don't you try it yourself and let them know ? I think that if your friends see cool guys like you playing chess, the general trend will change.

chess.com's play just isn't very fun, too many issues that cause the games to freeze up.  I think that's why people don't play it on the phone (or even on the computer with even better Internet connections).  If you watch to lichess, most will be playing on the phone.

If someone is coaching you, it takes time and effort. It could be their job. They need to make money. And I don’t think chess.com comes with free coaches
