A few weeks ago, I was banned for ‘’Abuse’’ and ‘’breaking chess.com’s guidelines.’’ I wasn’t aware of the situation since I’m on a trip and was inactive during those days, but thankfully @justelliott61970 took care of it. I reached support asking why I was kicked out of all the clubs except the 3 and this is what they said:
‘’Your attempts to take over clubs were deemed unacceptable…..’’
I was managing 105k+ members before my ban, being Super admin in NM Coach-Bill's Free
Video Lessons, Egypt Chess Club, Bay Area Chess, The Royal Chess Club, Paladins of Chess and other various clubs. Coming on chess.com daily and helping those clubs in different ways (Inviting, posting puzzles, making it active, etc.)
According to this article from chess.com, you can make a forum in a club where Super admins are inactive for a year and get elected as a new SA by gaining votes on the forum. They even added new rules because of me, like you can’t try to be SA in a verified or a club with an affiliated program. They disliked how I was giving so many memberships back to the members through its affiliate program, and they were losing around $200 each month just because of me using a chess.com provided program. But I understand if they want to put restrictions on my account over a non-existing rule and ‘’taking over clubs…’’’ but what about the clubs where I earned my position? Like ‘’NM Coach-Bill's Free Video Lessons’’ club, @Mando messaged me asking if I wanted to help their club since I was managing a lot of active clubs like my own, they made me SA after telling the other SAs my plan and experience. I was posting puzzles in Egypt Chess Club and earned my SA position thanks to @khaled_shoair courtesy.
I’ve never seen the ‘’Parental form’’ in my emails in September. Why can’t I just fill it with my parents? Like I said, I’m on a trip, I can’t access that mail on my laptop since I need to verify my access to the email which is at home.
I was talking to @Erik a day before about what I think of chess.com, and I told him how the money can be used for better purposes and also included ‘’Unstable system.’’ The thing I was talking about was not understanding my situation, the staff member ending the conversation right away so I can’t tell him again about my situation, and it’ll take more than 2 days for the staff member to reply to my ticket. That's if they don’t ignore it like with others. He said he wasn’t handling support tickets and he trusts his team. I can’t blame him.
But congratulations to @Erik for making his millions, but I’m sure I’m not the first person to make a complaint with this system and I won’t be the last. I'm taking a break👋
