What happened to the Eastern Europeans here?

Hey all.  A couple years ago I got back into chess after a hiatus.  Back in the day, about 10+ years ago, I would play opponents from Eastern Europe all the time.  Folks from Serbia, Poland, Russia, etc.  My rating was fairly static and continues to be:  around 1500.  So I've been where I'm gonna be.  I play 3-day daily chess because I don't like time constraints.  Not a fast thinker.  I like to mull over a move a few times over a couple days, run a few lines through the analysis feature, get several games going simultaneously, that kind of thing.  I enjoy thinking about the game and running through the possibilities when I'm not under duress.  Anyway, there used to be a lot of people from that area of the world that I'd play against, and now I don't see them much anymore.  Hardly ever.  My opponents are mostly from the US, UK, India, and a couple other countries.  Egypt maybe or Indonesia.  But almost never from Eastern Europe.  Where'd they all go?  Lichess??
