What happens in the Legend League?

While I did get to Legend I feel that it made me a worse player, at least temporarily.

Because points are awarded for wins and losses are ignored I found myself not sandbagging, but "hoping" for quick losses so that my rating would go down quickly and I would be allowed to face weaker opponents. While I played all my games seriously I was down 100-150 elo by the end of the legend run.

I understand the entire point of the league is to make people play more games, but I just found myself wanting to play more games, rather than win more games

I didnt do a legend league run,i practiced chesss whenever i could and 3_4 hours a day of bullet for a month got me to the legend league

I would consider playing for 3-4 hours a day as a "run"

I used to grind 4h/day, 1h of YT lectures. Stable 970R. But it was too much.
We should do analysis of our games 2h, and playing 2h, and 1h lectures instead.
But still what is this League?

No, there are no prizes in the league. The last contests ended several years ago.

They recently closed the Legend Club because people had figured out how to spam all the other 2.5 million members.

Yes, that ended in 2022.
