What happens to tournament score sheets?

So, what happens to the score sheets used at tournaments? I would have thought that ebay would be awash in score sheets from famous players from past tournaments.

These folks seem to have a small selection, I'm just surprised there's nothing out on ebay.

Wow! $350.00 for this:

Arctor

Alekhine I can understand....even Smyslov vs Korchnoi

But even John Fedorowicz wouldn't pay 50 bucks for a John Fedorowicz scoresheet

Yeah - $350 for Alekhine sounds like a deal. For modern tournaments, I've read that the scorecards are the property of FIDE or USCF - but what do they do with them? Do the players get their scorecards back after the tournament is concluded?

Trysts--the Alekhione scoresheet you listed is a carbon not the original--an original Alekhine scoresheet would be worth around $1,000-1,500.

i found this http://kenilworthian.blogspot.com/2011/02/frank-bradys-endgame-review-and.html

quote: Of the Game of the Century he writes: "In today's market, the estimate auction price for the original score sheet is $100,000

if someone would pay me 10 dollar for my personal score sheet I would gladly sell it.or even 2 dollars.
