It seems EVERYBODY on this site is logically debating you on this fact. (fact??)

Hahahahaha

So? Your assertion was that she could take him on a 1000 times and never win. The fact is she has played him considerably less than a 1000 times and has won.

And don't give me that "it was two years ago, it doesn't matter" poppycock. Carlsen was rated 2848 at the time of that game.

We feed trolls too easily here. They should have to demonstrate that they're not 100% moronic to get bites.

I'm not talking about a woman at the top of her game vs some washed up GM who's been out of the loop for decades.

Judit Polgar could play Magnus Carlsen 1000 times and she'd not come away with one win. I don't think there is a single person on this site..or anywhere in the world for that matter, who could logically debate me on that fact.

Pure supposition - not worthy of debate.

The rating system proves it false.

This is a fact.

Are there only 60 male chess players in the world?

Avatar of Elubas

Really, as scott said, he might as well be ignored at this point. He'll just keep reiterating the same bad arguments.

Avatar of ColonelKnight

Now this guy is just throwing the kitchen sink at solid logic.

Somebody asked where he lost those 2 games? It's late, i might have misread. But it was at the gashimov memorial a few weeks ago.

There is a reason why she's ranked 61 in the world. There is a reason why there are 60 MEN ahead of her. There is a reason why she is not #1.

And that reason is she is a woman. No disrepect to theeee greatest woman chess player of all time. But logic says that if she were capable of beating men, she would be higher than #61.

This is a fact.

You are looking at the tail end of a very large distribution.  It is said that there are over 600 million chessplayers, of all sorts, in the world.  Polgar, then, is within the top 0.00001% of all players.

Trite, hackneyed cliches.

She was ranked 8th in the world when she effectively dropped out of competitve chess for years to have and raise her children... that's the reason, as anyone WITH reason could deduce.

Another one of these forums?

Meh.

Avatar of ColonelKnight

If it's a "way of nature", then either you're a master of the obvious or an incendiary troll. Either way.

Avatar of batgirl

sheesh... someone kill him before he hurts himself.

Ahhhh, it all comes clear. A friend of the family. Of course you're saying what you're saying. If I were in your position, I'd disregard facts, logic, common sense, and history, too.

No, I'm not a "friend of the family". But i know them well.

In fact i've known the girls from when the were really little. Met the whole famile in the Lloyds bank tournament in the 80's when they came to the west for the first time (well first Zsuzsa and her mother, later the rest). I even practised with them a lot before they became too strong!

I played them a couple of dozen times in tournaments. With too little succes i'm afraid (didn't lose all the games though Smile).

So they are way better players then me and i'm sure i would kick your ass 1000 times out of a 1000. Judging by the stupidity of your remarks.

Now go away, i'm done with you.

Hey, being ranked 61 in the world is quite a feat. But there are 60 men above her. What's the highest ranking a woman has ever, ever, ever achieved? I think 61 is a good guess.

I mean, let's be reasonable. She's the only woman in a field of 100.

99 men, 1 woman. At 37, she's no spring chicken (as far as chess players go) I'm sure no one cares to argue that her best days are behind her. The other 60 men can sleep well knowing that Ms. Polgar isn't gunning for them.

Will a woman ever be able to compete against a man in Golf, sprinting, weight lifting, marathons? No. The male body is better at such things.

WIll a woman ever be ranked in the top 10 of chess players? No. The male mind is better at that.

This is the way of nature.

Apples and oranges.  Golf, sprinting, weightlifting, etc, are physical activities in which males generally benefit from human sexual dimorphism.

There are scant little intellectual differences between the sexes.  Chess is an intellectual exercise.

why is anyone paying attention to this stupid misogynistic idiot? he got an account TODAY and is clearly a trolling fucking douchebad who hates women. Fuck him and ignore him.

But you're not familiar with complex grammatical constructs like "If". Too much for you, apparently.

Ok, 1 more then for this moron. In 2005 Judith Polgar was ranked number 8 in the world.

End of story.
