all of em. how much sport, art or just game depends on the person.
What Is Chess????
I think it is depends on what level do you play it. So, if just amateur players (players without club, not playing tournaments, ect) play chess, it is a game. It is similar to that, when students play football at school for example. They are not do it as a profession, they are just playing. I think in this case, we can call it rather a game than a sport.
If a player plays it as his profession (so he plays in a club, plays in tournaments) then we can call it whether a game or a sport. It is a game because it is fun to play it. But we can call it a sport as well, because you need to practice, train, prepare for the game, tournaments. I would not call it an art. But it is only my opinion.

hi guys. im new and im sorry but i couldnt find a topic that would encorporate my question. i've only played two games. and i cant seem to find the chat box? where is it? and how do i use it?

Chess is more science than art, and it's definitely war. So I think I would have to say it's science and war.

@mynameiscraig: What you should have done is start a new forum thread, asking that question. But the answer is: to the right of the chessboard, at the top, under the words "Let's Play", it says:
