in other words, most people are below average, and thats why its low

800 sounds about right. 1200 is about 85th percentile. 50th percentile is something way less.

In rapid, I am 808 which says it is 48.9%, so by my reckoning, I am approaching the median. 

1000 for all players. Avarage club rating is much higher.
