10 minutes rapid is good, but if you play at a high level classical is better

Classical or Rapid games (15+10, 30+0, 45+45) are objectively the best for long-term improvement.

bullet is a complete waste of time, it can actually hinder progress.
by far the best is playing slow games seriously, either in tournaments or at a club. Online rapid is your best bet. i am partial to 15 10, increment or at least substantial delay is a must, otherwise you will miss out on badly needed endgame exposure.

15 | 10 seems like a good sweet spot for being long enough to help with improvement without being so long that you get bored—-I’m speaking in regards to playing online. But generally speaking, deep thinking is important for improvement, so the longer the better.

Because they already worked so hard in classical, unlike you, they are already at the top

5 people today have referred to the classical time control in their posts.

Can someone show me where this time category is please, because I am not seeing it on this website.

Classical is 1h30min, it doesnt exist(yet) so its under rapid

The key is having time to think. The number of games you play moving every 3 to 5 seconds is not helping you at all.

I would say your best route to improvement is to play plenty of slow-paced Rapid, and to also have several Daily games (at three days per move) going "in the background".

The Rapid games give you training at thinking under pressure, while the Daily games give you a chance to really think things out, with little pressure.
