You can actually get banned for doing that. I remember 1400 was playing with cxjchess and cxj purposely let 1400 win, and @cxjchess was banned.

I know...when i was here under a different name, there was a member that was doing the same thing. I reported it, and it took 3 months to get the account closed.
@bacon, I remember the last time I was here I reported that Myratingis1523 clown for doing the same thing and nothing ever happened. In fact I just looked that fool up and he's sandbagged again all the way down to 1200 blitz. Maybe the site doesn't care as much about sandbagging. Whenever I've reported an engine user, within a week at most they are banned.

I would like to thank my mom, and my dad, and my friends, and my brother, and my fish, and my other fish, and my teachers, and my colleagues, because I don't think I would have ever gotten this trophy. This trophy represents commitment, and hard work. I really tried and this effort payed off. How does sandbagging have anything to do with a participation award or liberals? It is probably less likely to get reported and harder to prove than regular cheating. I believe they have some kind of cheating detection staff as well, I would assume they wouldn't really bother having a sandbagging detection staff.
