what is your chess.com rating compared to your Lichess rating?

I have more or less just started playing here after registering 2 years ago. My rating on lichess is a lot higher, but I've also not quite gotten used to how things work here. I lose on time very often, even in comparison to how often it happens on lichess. Moving the pieces feels a bit slower, but maybe I haven't figured it out yet.

Good thing here is that cheaters are apparently banned more regularly than on lichess. Over there, they used to ban cheaters back in 2020, but since then I haven't gotten a single notification. Here it happened on day 2 or 3 of starting to play, which is a good thing. On lichess they seem to have given up on that.

Other than that, it seems the crowd is pretty similar. Rarely anyone chats, flagging is king, salty people leave their games without resigning and so on. Chess.com could use a cleaner interface imho - sometimes it is a bit difficult to find stuff. Still, I'm happy I started playing here.

300 points higher at Lichess. My recent ratings are from rapid fluctuations after returning, but it was 1400 vs 1700 when I played lots of games.

I took a 6 week break from rapid here and got it hard for losses and gained peanuts for wins because of the Gliko System when I came back this weekend.

After a break, you need to win the first game.

chess.com ratings are lower than lichess ratings. A formula used by some people to compare the two systems is chess.com elo * 0.75 + 650 = lichess equivalent

That sounds right.

That sounds right.

Only for blitz ratings, though. The rapid and bullet formulae would be different and probably not even linear.

what about for chess960?

Yeah, lichess is inflated

here I have 700 but in lichess I got 1400, though it’s my blitz rating cuz I don’t do rapid there

I would say equivalent Lichess rating is 400 higher than chess.com

But Lichess ratings are meaningful because they do have a seperate category for longer time controls - chess.com has 10/0 in the same pool as 60/0 which is utter garbage. There are well over 13 million players in the "rapid" pool on chess.com and it is pretty much meaningless.

I can't break 1000 here. I'm just over 1500 on lichess.

My rapid rating here is ~2000 while my rapid rating there is +2200. That other rating is a bit soft tho since I haven’t played enough games there.

lichess is very over-inflated

900/1000 here. 1300/1400 over there

In blitz 2171 at Lichess, 2006 at Chess.com, would be lower if I played more.

I was some 1800 here. But took a 10 year vacation. Restarted on lichess and progressed to levels higher than I think I ever was.

At lichess my bullet is 1300 blitz 1450 and rapid 1550

Correspondence at 2050.

When I came back to chess.com 1200 players moped the floor with me on bullet and blitz and I was dropped to 700 bullet 1000 blitz and 1300 rapid. Correspondence at 1350.

Well the main issue with check.com when playing bullet is higher latency time so I run out of clock fast and many games are dropped.

Also. I'm not that good and a bit old to play blitz even rapid, but still can't figure out why my correspondence rating is much lower than lichess

Cannot compare as this site has no equivalent to classical category on Lichess, which is why I think that site is better.

As of right now my bullet rating on chess.com is 1850 and 2100 on Lichess.
I had a 2200 bullet score on chess.com but that was last year though. I feel like Lichess is inflated by 100 points.

Past rapid rating (when played equally on lichess and chess.com):

Lichess 2000

Chess.com 1700

Today (mostly using chess.com for rapid only due to the sound effects):

Lichess ~2000

Chess.com 1900
