Sort:

Your Morphy number represents the number of links in the chain of chess games connecting you to Paul Morphy, the best-known chess master in history.

Mine is five.

Morphy played an Englishman called Mortimer, who played a Pole called Tartakover, who played a Russian called Smyslov, who played a Latvian called Tal, who played a Canadian: Me. Five links.

What's yours?

Inherited from Mikhail Tal, whom I played in Saint John in 1988. Tal was a 4.

You have to calculate manually.

For example, Morphy himself (a 0) played Mortimer (a 1) who played Tartakover (a 2) who played Smyslov (a 3) who played Tal (a 4) who played me (making me a 5).

here are some important links to Morphy:

Do you count wins or just chains of players?

I wrote a blog about a similar idea getting to Carlsen: https://www.chess.com/blog/LeeEuler/determining-your-magnus-number

And it appears there is a site to see how close you are to Nakamura in online games:

Just games... win, lose or draw.

Mine is also 5. I beat at the time FM Valeri Lilov (once in a daily game and a few times in simuls) who either drew with or beat Topalov in a simul. Topalov's number is 4 according to wiki.

If Topalov is a 4, then Lilov is 5 and you are 6, yes?
