Well, I don't know much about you just because you're a male. You could be 100+ different kinds of people for all I know. So I'll judge you less quickly than you judge yourself, and take more time to do so than you do.
The article has some good ideas, but it also uses rather biased logic at times. It seems to believe that the fact that Short has lost to Polgar discredits his statements. But chess skill doesn't even have a lot to do with the qualifications on this issue -- either people don't know that, or they forgot that because they desperately wanted to take a side right away when they heard the words "man" and "woman."
I'm probably only going to get a part of the relevant story when I'm reading an article of someone who uses this flawed and rather judgmental logic.
Oh goodness, gracious me! This thread returned to a discussion about the opening post. Just when I thought everyone had disasppeared up their own cloacas having critiqued to the nth degree, that art/philosophy tangent.
Leaving aside the seemingly resolved misunderstanding between tryst and Elubas... I wonder whatever became of never fear the dark ?!
Is there any sort of ...etiquette(for want of a better word) expected when one initiates a topic/thread? Is it really acceptable to initiate a topic such as this, and with such a strongly expressed opinion - and then decline any further input at all ? Does never fear the dark really have nothing further for her audience? Maybe it's simply been just a bit of wordy graffiti...

Neverfearthedark even made a part 2 to this, and word has it that her part 3 will soon be released. Admittedly, I will very likely comment on it if it gets posted.

In my defense, this post has gotten hundreds of comments. I can't read them all. Sides I've written more blogs and low key responded to the general themes of comments.

"Hi sweetie, you made so many good points but I disagree. Don't worry, I still think you're awesome and just so beautiful but maybe you should reconsider some of your comment?" That would be me being fake. And I'm not going to be fake just because people like you can't handle reality.
And the majority of men don't act like pigs, rude, or whiny toward me. I already said that the men I've encountered for the most part on here and in tournaments are incredibly nice and show respect toward me and my fellow female players. OP is the one whining and saying she's constantly bombarded with mean, rude men who harrass her. So if it's something a person brings on themsevles, like you suggest, why don't you ask her?
I have a lot of amazing men and women in my life. I don't need to act a certain way to get your approval so you'll like me.
I appreciate your frankness. You've had a difference experience than me and it's your right to share it.
