i've never been trashed talked before therefore i don't know.
what range in rating talks the most trash?
B class players most likely to talk trash 1600-1800 Elo rating.
Usually B class means they achieved so much already and better then the most casual players. In reality they can beat 80% of the casual players, most chess hustlers also B class players.
Main reason not many people higher then B class level is that, because you have to study openings and do some work to get to an A class and not just play so it's much harder to achieve so that's why most people stay at level B and get cocky beating beginners and casual players.
A lot of 1100-1200 players talk a lot of trash as well, I get about 8 jerks out of every 10 games on here if I play anything under 10 minute games. I'm not sure how that compares to others though
You usually don't find trash talkers in longer games because they want to run away as soon as they put their last words in
Im just curious...what range in ratings produces players who talk the most trash?
I am a reformed trash talker. I use to think it was funny. But then I realized two things: 1. I was i occasionally getting under people's skin & actually spreading just bad energy. And 2. I realized the better I got the more I respected my opponents.
Now, when I get beat by an awesome checkmate I'm genuinely impressed to see the cool move.
What do you guys think? In your experience what is the peak of trash talking - 1100-1200? 1200-1300? 1300-1400? Or something else?
The better you get, the less trash talk there is.

Is it wrong to hope I can get to 1800 soley to rid myself of these people haha
Keep in mindthat the trash talk is just online. It doesnt happen in OTB tournament play. So go figure...

I think it's like a bell curve. Noobs trash talk, and players who have worked very hard for many years get an ego and may trash talk, while people in the middle are nicer.
People in the middle have played enough to be comfortable with the idea of losing and that we all make mistakes, and they haven't put in e.g. 8 hour days dedicated to chess so their work and ability isn't a big source of pride.

Of course some people are just nasty individuals and will be nasty no matter the rating. Some and nice and will be polite.

I've heard some pretty sharp stuff after games though.
One time I mentioned to a guy who lost "I was hoping you'd win, if you did, I would have won some money" and his opponent heard me and laughed loudly from across the room and said "he was playing me, so that wasn't going to happen" (even though their ratings were basically the same).
She just turned one. I actually won that game, so that's enough justice I guess. Didn't need to worry about finding out where he lives or anything lol.

lol
Sorry for laughing, but it's just so absurd it makes me laugh. I could imagine a parent being disgusted... but at least from the outside it's too silly to take seriously.
It did make me think that I should probably just go back to picture of a pawn or something again though.
The trashiest talkers are not the top rated players, but the lower rated patzers. Trashiest talkers tend to be from certain geographic areas and certain countries. I find Indians and Asian patzers to be the worst offenders. Now this is not being racist, but the truth about my experience of trash talkers.
