Rubbish - you really are that good.
. Half the players would have to permanently sandbag to account for that in any other way.
What has happened is that as time has gone by chess.com has attracted more of the players who are at the most casual end of the spectrum - the very numerous people who know the rules (or most of them) but have never been at all serious about the game.
