What's a "pawn"?

In case you mean where the word comes from:
lowly chess piece, late 14c., from Anglo-French poun, Old French peon, earlier pehon, from Medieval Latin pedonem "foot soldier," from Late Latin pedonem (nominative pedo) "one going on foot," from Latin pes (genitive pedis) "foot," from PIE root *ped- "foot." The chess sense was in Old French by 13c. Figurative use, of persons, is from 1580s.

Ok I will bite.
I will tell you what a pawn is, if you can tell me what a cow is.

just think normally
The OP's question is not normal.
The OP is a cousin of 2Q. He too, claiims to be here to improve, but spends his time asking ridiculous questions.

Actually its just another day in the chess.com forums. These forums are entertainment. If you want something more serious, and less ridiculous, join lichess, or ICC. The forums there are much more instructional, and monitored much better. No offense to chess.com, just speaking the truth.

I can not understand what "pawn" is.
