The question is whether ICC capable to summon a large player base as long as the website is improved and able to blend in between the current websites.

I've played a good deal on ICC this spring and summer, and it's a mix of good and bad. Overall, I like the interface -- plus I've had a number of excellent games.
The most frustrating aspect of ICC is the far-too regular disconnection and difficulty getting back to the game. Just today, I had a winning position against a good player, when the site disconnected him for the second time. As his clock ran, I made my move and was abruptly disconnected myself. Unable to return, I lost on time. Something like this happens about one out of six or seven games.
