Your best bet would be to log a Support Ticket via https://support.chess.com/customer/portal/emails/new, as they're the one who can investigate this and are the only ones who could alter your rating.

it does seem like a strange thing to happen but at the end of the day it's not something to worry about. you're glicko RD # is 85, which is still fairly high. So your rating is going to fluctuate a lot. After a few more games it will settle down where it should be. Those seemingly 'lost' rating points won't matter.

What's that? Could you explain more

when you first start playing rated games, your rating will be much more volatile, it will jump around alot until you have played enough games.....how volatile it is is determined by your GlickoRD...not essential to know how that works, but basically the more games you play, the less a win/loss/draw will effect your rating.

Your blitz rating chart does not look like there has been a reset.

Sometimes people get confused by the following:

In live chess, there are different ratings for bullet (fastest time controls), for blitz and for standard (slowest time controls).

So depending on the time control for your next game, the rating displayed will be picked accordingly from these three.

So for example if you have already a blitz rating of 1100, and you get challenged for a game of live chess with a longer time control than usual, you might be shown your live chess standard rating instead, which may still be at 1000 for example if you have played no such games so far.

Actually, there was something special about your blitz rating:

It happened with the game

https://www.chess.com/live/game/2073154815?username=chess23571113

This game was a 3 move draw, and it caused your drop from blitz rating 1109 to blitz rating 1036, even though it was played against an opponent with blitz rating of 1100.

Very short games, such as this one, are usually treated differently for calculating rating changes. But the kind of rating change here might be unintentional, and might be something interesting for programmers to look into.

About your rating, I would not worry --- play some more games, and your rating will soon be approaching quickly whatever is your current strength at blitz :-)

Interesting! That's probably worth using the Report a Bug feature to let the Development team know about it - there was a bug a few weeks ago where every loss was being counted as a win and vice versa, and this almost feels like a left over case of that.

Where do I report it? I can't seem to find it.

It is against the chess.com terms of service to purposefully lower your rating.
