Just wondering,  as once one fella came to visit our local club in Moscow all the way from Germany to play some chess of course.

He was unpleasantly surprised, that our locals don't play 5 mins like in his home county, which is standard over there blitz time control.

Our locals play just 3/2 mins and no 5mins .

Long story short I've noticed a funny thing, that he plays super fast and once endgame starts he plays HORRIBLY with plenty of time on the clock , so everytime endgame starts he starting to complain about time control with increment .

What time controls is the most popular in your local chess club?

5+5, 10+5 and 15+5 maybe. When it's 3+2 less people arrives. We can't keep up with the really good ones in 3+2. Even the good old guys looses to the young and fast players in 3+2. I never go when it's 3+2. I guess my favourite would be 25+10. Giving the really good ones some resistant. I am a slow calculater and needs a lot of time.
