positional.
what type of player are you

Very boring. I've realized that about myself. I'm extremely conservative. The thought of making an unclear sacrifice disgusts me, and since day one I've played e4 on every board and answered e4 with e5, d4 with d5 and c4 with c5.
casual and obsessive ... I'm trying to get a lot better by reading books and viewing online video's ... but at age 40, I feel like I missed the boat!

Like MD11, casual and a bit OCD at the moment. I've missed the boat several times, but I think I'd still be in steerage even if I'd caught it in time. As for style, I suppose positional if I'm trying to pay attention.

i'd like to say i'm an attacking, tactical player who prefers open games.
in truth...i'm maybe slightly above the level of sucking.

Nonchalant in the extreme. I never stress even when I'm doing something that could be a mistake, and I know what to focus on quite well because I can tell what parts of the chessboard (at least for the moment) don't matter.

I'm into speculative sacrifices and I'm all for avoiding endings!
i can totally relate i've always been fascinated with sacrificed play and just started working and testing it.

I just like to put a lot of energy on the board. I get bored a lot of the time when I can't just get in there and scrap. The only time I like a slow game is when I get to slowly grip more and more of the board until it's lights out for my opponent. So my preferred style would be smashing chaos, but I'll take a slow agonizing choke out too.
of all the type of chess styles there which one do you think you are tactician, attacker, defensive, positional etc...
