I need that one repeated to me after every move playing online. 
I bet my rating would hop up a few points if I took the time to look not only for a good move, but for the best move.
I was never given advice about chess. [that I can remember]
"Never play while driving...or swimming".
Dont play chess against women..they will distract you with their hooters!
Don't help your opponent.

My best advice was to quit my day job and join Checkers are for Kings!
