Well, it's better to get into time trouble than to rush imo.  Maybe that's because I've always had a serious problem with moving too fast so I've only experienced time trouble once.

i experience both. im notoriously slow, but i believe time trouble is better. Its also a lot more satisfying to lose that way than losing because of a bad moves. Even though in the grand sheme of things all my moves are bad

If you learn your opponent's weaknesses he won't be stronger than you.

but is your opponent even worth the time to study his weakness?? i bet in majority of times , it would be better investment to improve yourself so that opponents arent even worthy of being considered opponents.

I would agree the "best" idea is to improve your own skill. However, "opponents arent even worthy of being considered opponents" is akin to underestimating the opponent.

Good players here have stated we should consider the opponents best move regardless of rating.

That was Fischers Problem too. He said: sometimes my opponents play good moves too, i forget to take these things into consideratiom

But seriously i dont think its Worth studying the opponent unless he is really good but than it definetly makes sense

u really really are a chess player, your fingers look very fragile for a gun user.

but good advise, maybe i still can become world champion that way before the police catches me

Reach a level end game, then play for a win.  Always satisfying, even when you lose.

Not exactly my favorite when I first read it since I was still in my king and wing gambit phases.

Actually, a game perfectly played from both sides is a draw, so your advice is logically correct, but I would add:

Don't lose, and win in case your opponent made an imperfect move.

Or even better:

Play perfectly.
