Guys, as we all get excited when we get a brilliant move, let's talk about what our elo when we got our first brilliant move.

KingBlooDrinker57

Also BTW, I haven't gotten a brilliant move yet (from the games I have reviewed).

xDamkiller

Brillant moves are quite dumb I played many brillant moves yet, Stockfish doesn't agree because -> insane response for opponent -> better move -> doesn't sacrifice material = not brillant

KingBlooDrinker57

I mean, its stockfish

Terminated800

My first was around 600 Elo, but it was accidental

KingBlooDrinker57

Um, I am 500 and haven't gotten it yet.

TheChessTitan2368

It was about 899 elo rapid when I got two fo. My first brilliant moves!,

Lorudar

Around 600. It was pin with a piece sacrifice. The opponent's queen was on c6, my knight was on d5. I play bishop b5, opponent takes bishop and I play knight c7+ with fork.

ProstoiChelovec, could you please post that game on the forum?

So a brilliant move must be a sacrifice?

ShortWaffle163

I am 630 and I have reviewed all my games, but my chess games aren't high enough to get a brilliant move, I could've, and I saw it but opponent didn't make the move for my brilliant move

ShortWaffle163

I've gotten a million great moves though, once about 5 times in a game

KingBlooDrinker57

same here

ShortWaffle163

That wouldn’t be a brilliant move, brilliant moves are sacrifices

basixTheSwexiest
Yes I know. I thought you would understand basix sarcasm but I was wrong.
ShortWaffle163

also if it was a free queen it would be a great move not a brilliant

Volo-Triumphare

450 to 550 elo. This is my first one:

I didn't get this because I'm so good at chess, I got it because I first saw this off a puzzle and have since used it 3 or 4 times.
