if you're nine with that rating you should be at least be 1800. 100 points a year shouldn't be too hard. I went up from 1000 to 1650 in two years.

It is possible to get better without a stronger trainer. All you need to Do is to work hard and believe in yourself. I climbed 700 elo points higher in 2 years and now I have a Fide rating higher than 2000 ( 15 years old). When you really want to reach something you will reach it!
i did the math suggested by DrCheckevertim and it cam out to 400.5 and my rating is 1300 and im 10
