I think it’s Scandinavian defense
That's two different defenses. (And are not compared to each other)
The Center Counter Defense defends against 1.e4. It's Monothematic, and a club player's (like me) wet dream.
The KID is a defense against 1.d4. Is very complex, infused with high level tactics and strategies... where below a certian high level, all one does is flail like a dementia patient trying to remember thier home address
