what's the dumbest way you've lost a game?

OTB game: Early in the game, maybe approaching the middle game stage, I went to move my Queen. It was then pointed out that I was in check and my move was illegal. By touch-move rules, I now had to move my Queen to deal with the check. The only legal way to do that was to put my Queen on a square where it would be taken the next move. Resign.

Yikes, that's rough! :-(

Hah, had the same thing happen, stalemated the guy

At the end of a very long turnament game against a 1450 rated player, I finally managed to get a forced win by simple pawn promotion, where I would have a Queen and King vs. King endgame. Easy win, but I made a horrible mistake. I was so focused on the win, and so sure that my opponent would resign, that when my opponent stuck out his hand, I shook it.... without comprehending that he actually said "draw" instead of "resign". Whoops.
