the same things are happening to me
Whats the right step i need to take :)
when that happens to me, i usually start painting and take a break, drink water or study a while be4 going in anotha match
well, i am getting stress out due to countinous studying, i play chess to calm myself down, but everything is going in reverse gear now
One key is to focus on the game without checking on anything else (like notifications or smth in the room etc)
Tilt can be stressful and can happen for a long time, it may happen for only a few hours and some times even days! The best way to go is take a break from Chess and come back with a fresh mind. Coming back out of tilt I usually start with playing a few unrated games to get me warmed up
Be calm, don't get unhopeful, just take a break for some time and dont think things like ''oh, I'm getting so bad at this'' or ''I cant do this'', cuz if you keep thinking like that, you’re just training your brain to expect a loss. It’s hard to find the best moves when you’re already waiting for a blunder to happen...Seriously, just step away for a bit and do something else. The board isn't going anywhere, and you'll play way better once you've cleared the stress fog. It’ll get better soon, don’t stress bestie, you’ve got this! ✨
Change the Format:
- Play Unrated: Play a few games where the result doesn't matter to take the pressure off.
- Solve Puzzles: Instead of playing a game, spend 20 minutes on tactics. It builds confidence because you’re "winning" small battles without the risk of a full-game loss.
Or Your "Recovery Protocol" Plan:
- Go for a 20-minute walk and listen to music or just the sounds of nature.
- Get a piece of paper and just doodle or paint. Don't try to make a masterpiece—just move the brush. In painting, there are no blunders. You can’t "lose" a painting.
I was just like that before. What helped me was taking a break from playing the way I usually played. I started solving puzzles, and playing longer games, 15 minutes or 30. I also played unrated, so I wouldn't worry about losing. I advise you to try something similar. Taking a break before restarting playing can be good too. 🙂 Wishing you success!
This happened to me once and what I found helpful was I took a break and then came back and did puzzles and started playing variants especially causal matches i found it was a lot of fun to make really weird custom games and after some time i came back regular chess.
See guys, since the past few days, i have been losing a lot of matches irrespective of rating, but been losing continuously as well. I dont know why i am losing (blunders and mistakes can get common) but i have a lot of stress but, my stress can be reduced by playing chess, but this time the tables have turned. Losing many games as usual, any idea how i can stop this
