What's up with the Chess.com voice commentary app?

I saw a YouTube video about a chess voice commentary app.

I downloaded the Chrome extension, but it does not work for me.  The app is installed, and I have a shortcut for it, but I hear nothing when I move pieces on chess.com.

Is this an extension that was tried and abandoned?  It seems to only have 24 reviews on the Google app site, 2/3 of them saying it does not really work.

But I like the idea, especially if the app could do more than just tell you what moves you're making, which seems to be all it could do several years ago when this video was made.

Is Chess.com going to develop this further at some point?  It would be nice if a voice could actually say useful stuff like, "If I were you, I would have taken the B3 pawn, but let's see what happens!"

This app extension was working fine some months ago, but not anymore. It is really sad that Chess.com is not paying enough attention / support to this extension, nor working to include the Voice feature in Chess.com core. This is preventing users to successfully use DGT boards in Chess.com, because you will need to look the screen ir order to know the opponent move, missing the whole point.
