i have yet to see anybody cheat, yet everybody keeps talking about how so many people cheat.
why would anybody cheat when there is nothing to gain? its chess.com ratings LOL.
People get upset that knight forks exist. Or that they can't castle through check, and things like this.
When they beat their dad or friend at school, they never get forked, and never castle (mostly because all the games end with 4.Qxf7#) so for such skilled players as themselves to lose must mean cheating.

Ah, give them a break, forking an armored Knight is not an easy task.
Last time I tired the guy immediately went for his sword and I had to run very fast to get out of that one alive.
I think I need a bigger fork before I try that again.
And let's not even start thinking about how ridiculously difficult this gets when he is hiding in his castle.
it's actually on every site. try playing videos on a game console and listen to how many people complain about haxors. welcome to the matrix, pal!!!!
I used to play on-line scrabble on Facebook and that was absolutely riddled with cheating. You can spot it a mile off. Except when cheating is involved, Scrabble is not usually won by players using large numbers of long words that you've never heard of, but by skilful use of short words, especially two and three letter ones.
However funnily enough I've never even once suspected an opponent of cheating on a chess site, even though I suppose it would be easy enough to do.
Maybe it only becomes an issue for ratings well above mine? After all, if someone has a chess.com rating below (for example) 1600, it's hardly likely that they're cheating very often, is it?
